[Kotori might come across a lost message in a bottle... It's not addressed to anyone. And it's not signed by anyone either.]
Hi Ocean!
I'm not sure how to start something like this. What are we supposed to write? Just anything that's going through our heads?
Lately, I've really been craving something made out of potatoes. Something Crispy. Haha. :)
I've also been worried lately. I wonder how long I'll be in this world and I wonder if everything is alright back home. I know it's out of my control but how do I stop worrying?
[Oh. That last paragraph breaks her heart. It hits her yet again that she hasn't seen her mom or her friends in nearly half a year, had spent New Years without them. And who knows how long this person's been without their loved ones.]
I wish I could help with the last thing. But... come to the Seventh Heaven galley, if you're not already here. I've never made them before, but... would croquettes be okay? (Or would you prefer something else?)
[She's tempted to ask if this person knows how to use a kitchen knife, but... no, this is someone asking her for help. She can do this. And maybe the wooden knife she got and the Turkey Totem will help.]
[Okay good, that's simple enough. Thankfully, the Seventh Heaven is anchored visibly at the docks the following day, and standing on the edge of the pier next to it, there's Kotori, craning her neck this way and that as if she's looking for someone.]
[A light smile as she leads him onboard and into the ship's halls. Yes, she remembers the message, but... that's why she reached back. She knows the feeling all too well.]
It is! Nimona-san was looking for a new ship and sort of asked if I wanted to come along. And I've worked well with Tifa-sempai on the Royal Fortune's galley, so it seemed like a good fit. So far it's been going well.
That's great! I'm glad you have a crew you get along with already!
[It makes her a bit homesick for Shinobu, but... shikata ga nai.
Anyway, they reach the galley easily enough, all the ingredients already laid out on the island counter.]
Okay so... I've got everything we need for pork and beef croquettes, including a recipe. [The ground beef was pretty expensive, but she wants to put her all in this so Izuku can be happy.] And I thought it might be interesting to see what the moondrakes are like cooked, if that works for you.

[He's a little surprised that the message came back with an invitation to meet. He's a little nervous but curious too.]
Alright. I'll try to meet you there. But how will I know who to look for?
no subject
It is. Let me know when you plan to come, so the ingredients will be fresh.
[As for how... Well, maybe signing this note with a drawing of a chick will help. A little bird, if you will.]
no subject
... No, of course not. Well, he's curious enough to go find out, at least.]
Alright. I will come by the Elah docks tomorrow around noon.

Eh...? Iida-san.
[It's a surprise to see her there on the large ship. He raises his hand and waves.]
Ahh. Hello! Are you looking for someone?
[He doesn't know it's him she's looking for!]
no subject
Oh! Midoriya-kun, hi! And um... yeah. I invited someone to make croquettes today.
[Sound familiar?]
no subject
[...!?! Was he-]
Was that... m-me??
[Was that him?!]
no subject
Oh! [WELP!] Y-yeah, I think so! [She steps aside and gestures to the gangplank.] Thanks for coming! Right this way!
no subject
But he does head for the gangplank even if his steps are a little mechanical!!]
Is this- Is this the ship you're staying on, Iida-san? It's a big type...

You're on a new ship too, right?

[He nods quickly, feeling a little humble.]
I started a crew and ship with my classmates. We just recently finished outfitting everything.
[Which is a pretty big deal for a group of teenagers but they're all go-getters and over-achievers anyway.]
